It’s not too early to be thinking about Christmas, especially when preparing to make the holiday brighter for underprivileged youth.
One venue through which to do this is Toys for Tots. According to their website, the mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. For details about the program check out their website at: www.ToysForTots.org
We will be having a Toys for Tots toy drive during the month of October and first half of November. On November 16th we will deliver the goods to the local Marine unit.
The toy collection box will be placed inside the plant. There is no obligation or requirement to donate. But, if you do, make sure that the gift is new and that it does not have Christmas wrapping paper on it. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
The company itself will also be donating to the cause.
Thank you to second shift’s Mark Leveille for getting this started.
